Former Prosecutor. Former Police Officer. Now Fighting for You.

Portrait of a person in a dark blue suit and patterned tie.

Alan Saladrigas is a founding partner of South Florida Justice and one of South Florida's most uniquely qualified criminal defense attorneys. What sets Mr. Saladrigas apart from virtually every other defense attorney in Palm Beach County is a professional background that spans all three sides of the criminal justice system — as a police officer, a prosecutor, and now a defense attorney. That firsthand experience gives his clients an advantage that cannot be taught in a classroom or learned from a textbook.

Before co-founding South Florida Justice, Mr. Saladrigas honed his skills at a prominent South Florida criminal defense firm, where he represented clients across a wide range of criminal matters. It was there that he developed the aggressive, detail-oriented approach to defense work that has defined his career.

Prior to private practice, Mr. Saladrigas served as an Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County and as an Assistant Statewide Prosecutor with the Florida Office of the Attorney General. As an ASA, he tried over 50 jury and non-jury trials, handling cases ranging from DUI to attempted first-degree murder. As a Statewide Prosecutor, he litigated complex, large-scale organized crime cases — experience that gave him an intimate understanding of how the state builds its most serious cases and, more importantly, how to dismantle them.

What makes Mr. Saladrigas's background truly rare is that he earned his law degree from Florida International University College of Law while simultaneously serving as a police officer with the Sunny Isles Beach Police Department. This is not a background many attorneys can claim. His firsthand knowledge of police procedures, investigative techniques, and law enforcement strategy allows him to identify weaknesses in the state's case that other defense attorneys simply cannot see — because they have never stood on that side of the law.

Mr. Saladrigas brings this same tenacity and insight to personal injury cases, fighting to ensure that injured clients receive the full compensation they deserve from insurance companies that would rather pay as little as possible.

A proud native Floridian and the son of Cuban American parents who immigrated to the United States, Mr. Saladrigas is fluent in Spanish and deeply rooted in the South Florida community he has called home his entire life. He earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University's Harriet Wilkes Honors College, an institution reserved for the university's most academically accomplished students.

Mr. Saladrigas is known among clients, colleagues, and judges alike for his accessibility, his honesty, and his refusal to back down — regardless of the complexity of the case or the power of the opposition.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Saladrigas is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu — a discipline that reflects the same focus, preparation, and competitive drive he brings to every case he handles. He is also actively involved in Path to College, a South Florida organization dedicated to helping students access higher education opportunities. To learn more, visit pathtocollege.org.
